Operational Record Book No. 247 and No. 440 Sqn

Who can help me with copies of Form 540/541 of the ORB's of No. 247 Sqn (Tempest) and No. 440 Sqn (Typhoon) for the period 23.12.44-27.12.44? This would be a great help!

Thanks John.

247 Sqn didn't re-equip with Tempests (Mk. II) until after the end of WW2.
Do you mean 274 Sqn?

Eunice Wilson,247 Sqn archivist,will possibly have copies of,or access to,the squadron's ORB.She works tuesdays at the PRO/NA.

Tempest

Although the document says "Tempest from 247 Squadron" I think it should be indeed No. 274 Squadron. Anybody out there that could help me with ORB's of No. 274 Squadron???

For the ORB Form 540 and 541 of 274 Sqn. you have to contact mr. Henk Talen at Volkel. No 274 Sqn. was located at Volkel airbase at the required period.
If you don't have his phone-number you know who to call.
