Leutnant Walter Spaar (Spaer) - 9./KG 77 (gefallen 23 October 1940)

Good morning to all.

Am looking for details of the crew and Ju 88 A-1 coded 3Z+HT (which werknummer) shot down by AA over London on the night of 23 October 1940.
Have tried to find on the Search pages but got no joy, although a similar III/KG 77 machine crash landed back in France, from that same mission to London.

The names of Lt. Walter Spaar's crew would be most welcomed.

OBS: Was the wreckage ever found?

Many thanks

Adriano B.

Leo and Peter Cornwell,

Sorry for the long time to THANK YOU both on the DATA I was looking for. Quite a lot of work those last days....
I assume that since there was NO wreck found in England (I mean vestiges of the wreck), the machine may have crashed into the Thames mouth or at sea...

I am very grateful for the additional information I was looking for. I just bought a picture depicting Lt Walther Spaar, this is why I asked that.

Adriano B.
