Re: 615 Sqdn Hurricane Mk I
Can I recommend that you transfer this request to www.rafcommands.com, where you will find people who specialise in this kind of request. I suggest that you add some kind of explanation why you have this interest.

Re: 615 Sqdn Hurricane Mk I
Good morning Fredcompa,
I have checked in the best source of information, " Twelve Days In May " book, this covers the period your interested in, but sadly no reference to Flt Lt Ashworth No 615Sq. Regards, Steve. |

615 Sqdn Hurricane Mk I
Just out of interest I have written a fairly complete service history of Hurricance L1592 (now in the Science Museum, London) so I would appreciate if anyone has photos of it while it was with 615 Sqn during the BoB in July 1940 - very unlikely I know but if you don't ask you don't get!
In fact any references to photos of 615 Sqn in the BoB would be gratefully received, as 615 Sqn seems to be one of those Squadrons that was not photographed much during the BoB. I want to check that during the BoB they wore skinny code letters that can't have been more than 3 inches wide.
