Major Werner Hoffmann Knight's Cross HolderNJG 3
I've just been informed today by his wife, that Major Werner Hoffmann of NJG 3, died last week on 8th July aged 93.
Werner was a close friend of mine, very warm, charming and generous with his time. He was awarded the Knight's Cross and recommended for the Oak Leaves, however, the war came to an end before it could become official. He will be greatly missed by those that knew him, and my thoughts go out to his charmimg wife, Sabine.
