Looking for information (rh: Major Trachte / Trachle)

Hello. I am looking for any information concerning a German officer. I have been told this officer was in the German Air Force during WWII. I have a German knife with the name of "Major Trachte" . Any information as to who, what, where, etc. would be helpful. My uncle who served in the US Army during this period gave this knife to my father and I just recently found it. I would be interested in returning it to a family member if at all possible. Any info or help in research will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
