Thanks to the helping pointer of Olivier Menu, over on Bf 109 from Anton to Toni Group, you set the record straight for those planes found at Babenhausen and not at Zellhausen as stated by Hideki Noro. Much indebted Marc |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Gents,
Thanks all for the clarifications regarding the Fw 190 D. The Me 262 on the right in post 831 is a close relative of the one on the left, it being WNr.110745 found at Giebelstadt. Though not posted here, it is seen in a well known NARA photo that is an oblique aerial view from its right side adjacent to a bomb crater. A comparison with the above and this image matches exactly with the bomb crater in front of the machine and position of the engines. A rather reduced version of the image is shown on page 623 of the Classic Me 262 Volume 3. Cheers, David

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Thanks for your fact checking, Franck ! If from II./JG 2, «*Weisse 12*» would nail the location at Zellhausen indeed, as stated by Hideki Noro in «*LO+ST*».
