FW-189 losses

In my notes from the book "Attack of the Airacobras" the 216 later 9 Guards IAP claimed FW-189s on the following dates:
24 Aug 43 rammed
26 Sept 43
28 May 44
9 May 45

Does anyone have any information on the unit, crews ect of the above. I realize information on the last one may be impossible. thanks in advance.

Re: FW-189 losses

I have several FW 189 losses on each of your first two listed dates; did you have any likely locations? Are you confident of the dates? Neither of the 24.August loss reports mentions a ramming (Zusammenstoss), and neither is damaged more than 25%, although one listed for the 25.August is a 100% write-off.

Re: FW-189 losses

The first two combats I believe were in the southern part of the Russian front/Ukaraine. The book is at a out of town library. The next time I visit it I will check and see about the locations and post them here.
