thermometer US GAUGES NY
Does anyone know which aircraft could be assembled? comes from one German field airport, where I know only one Supermarine Spitfire.

While it does look like an aircraft instrument I have never seen an aircraft gauge with 212F (boiling point for water) on it. Liquid cooled aircraft use a water/glycol mix which boils at a higher temp.
It appears the gauge was designed to monitor plain water (212F) or its quite the coincidence. |

Does it have a data plate on the back of the gauge that is readable ?
As mentioned it is an unusual temperature range. |

Thank you for both reactions. There is a label on the device, but it is no longer readable from it.
