JG 300 at Deelen

Hello,

I always understood that a part of JG 300 had a connection with the airfield of Deelen near Arnheim. I can't find any connection in the Lorant/Goyat book about JG 300 history though. Can anyone tell me if a part of JG 300 was indeed stationed at Deelen in 1943/1944?

Regards,

Erwin

Re: JG 300 at Deelen

Guys

While an appendix list of unit bases is basically the only thing I miss from the beautiful double set of JG 300 books by Lorant/Goyat, they very clearly state that the first airfield used by the Stab and I. Gruppe was Bonn-Hangelar. No doubt, one gets full details when reading the books, but unfortunately I didn't think about it when I did, so I have no list to produce...

Cheers
Stig
