Hello,
Would anybody know where was N°1 and N°7 POW camps in UK? Because some French airmen captured to Diégo Suarez in May, 1942 made a stay there.
Thank's a lot for future answering

Re: POW camp in UK

Hi,
I've got this link for N°1 POW Camp send by a friend of mine http://www.kg6gb.org/pow_camps_in_uk.htm

"Grizedale Hall
, Grizedale, Cumberland - Base camp

Ex stately home + about 30 huts, opened 1940 as POW camp for officers. In 1942, 50 French officers who had surrendered at the invasion of Madagascar were temporarily settled here. At the end of the war held many high ranking officers including Generalfeldmarschall Rundstedt - nicknamed 'Hush Hush Hotel'."

Thank's a lot for your answers
Regards
Franck
