Unknown P-47 Instrument Panel with a "98" Part Number?

Hey guy...

Any thoughts on what model this is from?

First guess would have been P-47N...but...

The two upper gauge holes were made larger to accommodate a Horizon.

100% a wartime conversion...

I think the 2 instruments in the bottom were just thrown in...

Thoughts?

Re: Unknown P-47 Instrument Panel

The number on the back reads:

98 F81008 1

Which also makes no sense, as the P-47 part numbers were 93 and 96.

Please note that the "8" is stamped SIDEWAYS...and looks like it was added afterwards.

Also notice the "WATER METHANOL DISCONNECTED" Warning label.

Is it possible this is from a P-47 Trainer?

Hello,

From what little I know it does look like an "N" or perhaps later model.
here is the full version.
