Lt Löffelmann saved 28.May.41 - addition to Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries?
Hello,
the record from KTB des Marinebefehlshabers in der Niederlanden (NARA T1022 roll 2784 PG-47522 s.91): 28.5.41 16:00 Ijmuiden: Der holländische Fischlogger Ijmuiden 165 rettete aus einem Schlauchboot 2 deutsche Flieger, Lt. Löffelmann und Gefr. Scheuermann 10 sm querab Zandvoort. Karl Löffelmann (1919) from Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries apparently doesn't fit because became a lieutenant only 1.Aug.42. Maybe this info is interesting to someone. Best regards, Andrey |

Thank you, Rémi!
So, part of the loss data wasn't used in Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries. Don't remember. As it is about the West, more like it is result of the exchange than my own order. Best regards, Andrey |

Yes, Andrey, that's right. I have the loss entry in my notes for Erg.Gr./ZG 76 but there is nothing about the 2-man crew, so they must have both been enlisted (other ranks as the British would say). He would only have been added to the Career Summaries if he had been an officer at the time. Cheers, Larry deZ. |

Sorry, I don't have that KTB so I can't check to see what it says. A few of the Dutch members here may have it and hopefully one of them can take a look and see what it says about Löffelmann's rank. Best, Larry deZ. |

Remi,
T-1022 R-2784 Marinebefehlshaber Niederlande can be downloaded from John Calvin's ftp server. It is to be found in the MyRolls/OKM folder and his copy consists of 600+ pages. Cannot vouch for the quality as I have not downloaded this particular file.

Re: Lt Löffelmann saved 28.May.41 - addition to Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries?
John,
Its an ftp server. So you will need a client such as Filezilla. Settings are: Protocol: FTP - File Transfer Protocol Host: jccalvin.ddns.net Encryption: Only use plain FTP (insecure) Logon Type: Anonymous. Once you have added the files folders to your download queue you need to "disconnect from the current visible server" before the downloads start as you are only allowed one connection. His web site is http://www.wwii-photos-maps.com but does not contain these files. Hope that this is of help.
