Hirth Wooden Prop Markings - Thoughts Needed

Hey guys,

This is a vet bring-back. I suspect it is from a Bu133, Bu181, KL35 or similar.

All paint and marking are 100% legit...but I fail to understand what they represent?

The swastikas have white wings coming off of them (heavily faded).

I am curious if anyone has seen anything similar?

TIA

Mike

The swastika and W.Nr. (?)(which is an odd number for a W.Nr.) were not added by the manufacturer. Someone, somewhere decided to add their own little bit of artistic liberty to the blades.

Nope. The W. Nr. is the number of the prop blade (not of the aircraft). It was added at factory, as the numbers match the number stamped into the wood. There is also another factory-added number on the side (not shown).

This is 100% original wartime piece...but yes...the swastika and white wings were added after delivery.

Sadly, the veteran cut in in half to send it home.

This is directly from the estate, and was sent home in this condition, so all markings are 100% wartime...just trying to determine if the emblems may be for a specific to a unit...or for something civil (maybe an NSFK)? I am picturing an aircraft that may have had an interesting paint scheme...like they did for the Olympics....

Looking at markings online...I think this was from a DLV Aircraft.

The DLV emblem was a Propeller with a Swastika and wings on each side.

I think whichever DLV training unit this was...painted the swastika and wings on the blades to somewhat mimic a stylized version of this logo (swastika on each end, with a left/right wing)
