Re: Curtiss P-40, AH781 of 400 Sqn SP-F or S?
Chris do you remember if this photo was AH851 ? There is a photo of a 400 Sqn. Tomahawk upside-down after an accident but it's AH817 SP-K on 15 April 1942. Just wondered.

Re: Curtiss P-40, AH781 of 400 Sqn SP-F or S?
A series of histories of RCAF Squadrons was published maybe 30/40 years ago (?) hard cover, in landscape format. I have the 400Sqn edition as far as I can see there are no publishing details but the author was Chief Warrant Officer R W Wylie. The book includes a photo of "F/O Roger's aircraft after his encounter with the bridge". It is a head on shot of a Tomahawk on its back with a Coles crane in the background no codes or serials are visible there are large chunks wiped off both wings but one more than the other.
