Re: Fi 156 GM+DR

GM+DR was a Fw190

GMOR was a Fi156 c/n not known thus was with LdKdo 2/7 10/40

Re: Fi 156 GM+DR

Thanks Tony
What source can you give for this aircraft belonging to LDK 2/7 in Oct 1940. I have a He45 - W/Nr 574 with LDK 2/7 which crashed 23-10-40 with 05% damage - Stkz GM+OQ. But the Fi156 - GM+OR with only Wustennotstaffel early/mid 1941 in Greece

According to Barry Rosch the source was/is RL 2 III/769 Gen.Qu.6.Abt, p.69
and he lists it as a He 45

Cheers
Stig

Re: Fi 156 GM+DR

Stig

My data was from a KTB RL10 series and definitely states Fi 156 for this.

I doubt if LdKdo 2/7 would operate an ancient a/c such as an He 45

Tony

RL 2III/10769, page 69 shows clearly
He45, WNr.574, GM+OQ
5% damage on 23.Oct. 1940, FP Gablingen, LD-Kdo.2/VII

best wishes
JoMe

Re: Fi 156 GM+DR

Thank you all.

My picture of GM+OR was taken in march 1941 at Castiglione del Lago, it's probably a Fi 156C-1, without MTO white band, no unit badge visible.

Ciao

Gianandrea
