Sqn Ldr T Y Wallace
This pilot, who had fought in the Battle of Britain, was shot down by Flak flying Typhoon MN205 on 11 Nov 44 while commanding 609 Sqn. It has been said he crashed on the beach at Dunkirk but was not discovered until after the war and is now buried at Pihen-les-Guines which is some way from Dunkirk so can anyone confirm his crash location and the truth he was discovered after the war?
