Sovyet Aces

Many said that Sovyet aces is full of propaganda. But actully with their report no matter they planes, who is the Sovyet top aces between the three high score? Is Kozhnezdub, Alexandr Pokryshkin or Grigorii A Richkalov?
Thx

Good question !
With other words, let us speak about overclaims from soviet aces and not only about Hartmanns. I think it is easier because the LW loss statistics is more or less available

Just to remark that accurate LW figures regarding the Eastern Front, particularly for the later part of the war are really difficult to have (and often limited to only human losses and even sometimes only definitive human losses...). Loads of documents were either destroyed or lost.

Re: Sovyet Aces

Hello,

Is there anyone who can provide a complete list of Rechkalovs claims (i.e. dates, places, types etc)?
I have large "holes" in my own list....

Best wishes/Håkan

Re: Sovyet Aces

In Christer Bergstroem's book "Kursk The Air Battle" he lists Kozhedub's 3rd victory on the 09Jul43 as possibly being Guenther Rall. He states that Rall's logbook has him being shot down at 07:30 but the Bf-109 that he was shot down in was not listed on the Generalquartermeister der Luftwaffe. So has anyone every tried to confirm Kozhedub's victories?
