2nd Lt Lajos Tóth, cdr of 101/2 "Puma" Fighter Squadron was born 100 years ago
100 years ago today was born one of the most successful Hungarian fighter pilots of WW2 with 26 aerial victories, Lajos Tóth. After the war he was used by the new, Soviet-influenced Communist regime to train the first generation then he was executed after a show trial in 1951. His tragic fate outraged his former German comrades also, recenty passed Peter Spoden also commented it in this forum many years ago.
This video was taken last year at Lajos Tóth's grave, it was a commemoration for the 70th anniversary of his execution. The speech what I delivered introduces his life and career. I uploaded it to my YouTube channel and created Engish subtitles for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQ-GOqhMihE
