146 Squadron pilot - Thomas "Tony" Carter - P-47D Question?????
Hello Everyone!!
I have a particular question about a former 261 Squadron P-47 that eventually moved to 146 Squadron in Burma. The pilot's name was Pilot Officer Thomas "Tony" Carter. He flew with 261 Squadron, then eventually he joined 146 Squadron in Burma. He flew a particular aircraft called "Pistol Packin' Mama" and the aircraft apparently carried nose art. My question is this, does anyone have any reference or better yet, a photograph of the aircraft? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
