Allies and Soviet Reports of Expert German Aces
Do the Allies and the Soviets kept reports on the names of German ace pilots who scored a high number of air kills against them, especially those Germans with over 100 air to air victories? The Soviet had a price on Hans-Ulrich Rudel's head because of Rudel's high toll on Soviet tanks.

Hello Edward,

It seems I haven't seen the names of German aces in Soviet documents with the exception of POWs' interrogation reports. Beerenbrock (JG51) listed quite a number of aces. Best regards, Andrey |

Very possibly because they were also mentioned in German newspapers.

Hello Edward,
Quote:
Of course, I did not see all the reports of the air armies, but many of them. I don’t remember a single mention of German aces (maybe except captured). Maybe other forum members will correct me. Best regards, Andrey |

Re: Allies and Soviet Reports of Expert German Aces
During the war RAF Intel published articles on Luftwaffe personalities, I recall a one on Lent, so I guess they kept files on German personnel.
