B-24 in Adriatic Sea
13.09.1944 was raid on the IG Farben in Oświęcim.
Participated in it 460th BG. One of the plane from this group fell into the Adriatic sea. Three crew members are lost. Does anybody know anything about this plane ? Please help. Janusz |

That would be B-24H 42-52363 of the 763rd Bombardment Squadron.
Incident covered by MACR 8764. Aircraft was ditched 6 miles east Of Vieste, Italy with flak damage. Pilot 2nd Lt. Robert Reed. The three crew who lost their lives were: 15324928 S/Sgt. Robert C Kerns 38263315 S/Sgt. Henry W Sullivan, Jr 17065158 Sgt. Victor L Kuhns Sean |
