Hello, can anybody identify the Sqadron? The photo was taken in Germany summer 1945. Thanks, Roger

Here’s the photo

Re: RAF Squadron sign —> Which Squadron?

It kind of looks like 320S Squadron. The "S" in squadron and the last character in the number sequence both seem to match.

Re: RAF Squadron sign —> Which Squadron?

Thank you both. 320S was based at Achmer just after the war. I also have a photo from the sane vet that shows a hangar and tower. I’ll compare it with photos from Achmer.

Re: RAF Squadron sign —> Which Squadron?

I couldn’t find a matching hangar/tower in photos of Achmer. I wonder if it said S20S, but that wouldn’t make sense, would it?

Re: RAF Squadron sign —> Which Squadron?

5206 (or 8) Squadron? Both were airfield construction units active in NW Europe.

Shame its such a poor image.

Re: RAF Squadron sign —> Which Squadron?

That may be a good lead. There are no British aircraft in the photos, but trucks. May well be a construction unit. Do you know where these two units were stationed after the end of the war?
