Uffz. Alfred Walther 2./NJG2 - looking for any info

Hi folks

I'm looking for any information on: Uffz. Alfred Walther 2./NJG2

He made his first claim on the night of 22nd March 1944 5km North of Frankfurt at 21:45.

I've done the usual trawl of web and not found anything.

I hope you can help.
Regards
Robert

In Michael Balss book on the Nachtjagd losses, is the following:

On the night of 9-10 June 1944 Fw Alfred Walther and his crew of 2./NJG 2 (Uffz Josef Habel and Ogfr Rudolf Bartz) did not return from a war flight (Feindflug). They were flying the Ju 88 C-6 WNr 750954. Their crashplace is listed as "unknown".

Tony Wood claim list show 3 victories for him (confirmed by the book on Nachtjagd claims):

Re: Uffz. Alfred Walther 2./NJG2 - looking for any info

Thanks Laurent
That a good start.
Do the NJG crews tends to stick together once they've formed a team?
Are there any records to show when the crew were posted to 2./NJG2?
Like wise how can I find out what nights they flew?

I've found a little background on 2./NJG2 or is it II./NJG2 from:http://www.ww2.dk/air/njagd/njg2.htm
Staffelkapitän of 2./NJG 2
Heinz Rökker from January 5, 1944 until the end of the conflict

Gruppenkommandeure of 2./NJG2:
Major Paul Semrau, 1 January 1944 to 31 October 1944

Bases:
12.3.44 - 26.4.44 Quackenbrück
26.4.44 - 6.44 Köln-Butzweilerhof
6.44 - 8.44 Coloummiers

The numbers of a/c in the group seem to vary a lot between months e.g. 18 one month 33 the next. They key word seems to be "Feindeinw." what does it mean?

If anyone has more information it would be gratefully received.

Thanks
C.T.

Re: Uffz. Alfred Walther 2./NJG2 - looking for any info

2./NJG 2 was a Staffel, part of I./NJG 2 (the Roman figure for the Gruppe level)

In the Flugzeugbestand (http://www.ww2.dk/oob/bestand/njagd/binjg2.html), "durch Feindeinw." is the sort form of "by enemy action" (air battle, strafing, AA fire, etc...), "ohne Feindeinw." is without enemy action (accidents)

As a general rule, NJG crews seem to form a team with few changes, but for each particular case you have to check (sickness, wound, retirement from active duty could happen).

To find when they flew, the only way will be to find the logbook of one of the crew.
