Hello,
the NC 701 (Siebel 204) twin engine plane where used as an "police coloniale" plane. That mean they where armed with Machine Guns and Bombs. What kind of Guns and Bombs where used and whow many of them? Thanks! h. |

Re: NC 701 with ELA 52 at Tan Son Nhut 1948
Hans
According to French sources they could carry six 50kg bombs (type DT.2) or six "packages" which they called Alkan (consisting of four 10kg PA bombs). These could be switched to 50kg practice bombs called type AF. They were armed with six machine guns of which four were fixed and two were flexible. The fixed ones were mounted two and two on each fuselage side and called M34/39, each with 500 rounds. The flexible ones were MAC type tourelle mounted in the rear fuselage. Each had a magazine with 100 rounds, plus three in reserve. Cheers Stig |
