Manfred Leisebein, Fahnrich JG106/JG52
Sorrowful news our friend Manfred on last mission, gaining eternal wings.
Met just after the reunification, together with his friend also JG52' Viktor Peterman. Modest and earnest, we met yearly at reunions. Unfortunately couldn't travel to us in USA, but a delight to be with he and his wife. Mr. Peterman Said Manfred had the same ratio of flight and success he(Peterman) had. Four years in soviet pow camps he earned admirable Russian . One of the very few veterans remaining, more so of flying personnel. |

May he rest in peace.
By the way, you say the street is named after his father. Was his father a famous person? |
