3 December 1942, B-24 Liberator : RAF or USAAF ?
Hello,
On 3rd of December 1942, at 9h45 (a.m.), a B-24 Liberator attacked a Ju 88, off S.W. coasts of Ireland (51° 37' 30" North, 10° 55' 00" West). Both aircraft were slightly damaged and - certainly for the Ju 88, very probably for the B-24 - could return to their base. Question : to which RAF or USAAF unit did this B-24 belong ? I would be very interested, too, with any else information about this aircraft (base, squadron, markings, mission, damages ...) and its crew (forming, fate ...) this day. Many thanks in advance Pierre BABIN |

Pierre,
Not much help but I can discount 120 Squadron. No operational flying took place by 120 Squadron on that day. Regards Peter. |
