Hello ,

On april 6 1945 two C-47A-20-DK en route to Y-85 near Frankfurt from the 314TCG were lost in the Hautes Fagnes in Belgium .

The crews were Price ( KIA ) pilot Liversidge ( KIA ) co-pilot - Sorrency ( KIA ) navigator - Wolowski ( SAFE ) engineer bailed out - Schnittke ( SAFE ) radio bailed out. Gehrt ( KIA ) piloot Groome ( KIA ) co-pilot - Walsko ( KIA ) engineer - Snodgrass ( KIA ) radio

Can someone help me some more on the aircraft and the crews.

Alain,

Check out https://www.hangarflying.eu/erfgoeds...14-tcg-50-tcs/
in our very own Dutch language.

Pilot Price in 43-48935 and Pilot Gehrt 42-23363, according online "Men Will Come: A History of the 314th TCG 1942-1945" When you look up this book thru books.google.be you'll find more details.

Groet & prettige feestdagen,

Leendert
