Yep. I think we are beginning to realise that Lynch's first three victories are very suspect. The later 1942 claims also appear open to question. Both sides massively overclaim. It would be interesting to get a full comparison of casualties between the Japanese and the Americans, not to dismiss the claims of the "aces" but to establish how effective the P-38 really was.
