1st Lt Wilma R. Vinsant - KIA 14 April 1945
1st Lt Wilma R. Vinsant (N-735267) is one of two American flying nurses who are buried at the Neherlands American Cemetery (Margraten).
On 14 April 1945 the C-47 she was flying in came down some 40 kms NW of Eisenach, Germany. Who can trace the names of the other crew members and identity of this C-47? Could this have been 43-48332 which indeed crashed near Eisenach? (The other nurse at Margraten is 1st Lt Christine A. Gasvoda, killed on 13 April 1945, also in Germany in C-47 43-15086). Thanks for any info. Regards, Leendert |
