Spitfire Loss on 6 November 1942
Hello
Oberfeldwebel Kurt Goltzsch of 4./JG 2 claimed a Spitfire at 12:43 at 05 Ost / 1055 at 6,000 meters on 6 November 1942. This was the only claim recorded by the Luftwaffe fighter units based on the Channel Front and apparently there were no recorded engagements for RAF fighter units that day which leads to the suspicion that it may have been against a reconnaissance aircraft. Are there any known losses that may possibly be matched to this claim? Many thanks for any help. Horrido! Leo |
