Hello, Forumites
Resurrecting on old thread. Has anybody got information on confirming the identity of the aircraft flown by Orsinger on 22 February 1944 when he was shot down over Belgium?

Re: Capt Keith Orsinger

One thing that may need verified, Bolek Gladych (56 FG) had an accident in 42-75140 on March 8, 1944, coded HV-U. I can't say which is the correct but it can't be both SX-X on the date Orsinger was lost and HV-U two weeks later.

Re: Capt Keith Orsinger

The cumulative loss listing of aircraft through 31 May 1945 (which can be found on AFHRA microfilm A5686) mentions for 42-75140 22/02/1944 353 FG mia and for 42-75410 11/03/1944 4 MRRS sal bd. (Unfortunately I don’t have the Form 14 for the crash of Bolek Gladych.)

Best regards

Luc
