Re: German report on P-38 lost on & April 1944

Hi Marko,

this crash refers to the P-38 H-5-LO 42-67070 of 1st FG, 71st FS and 1st Lt Fay Robert Valley, O-739768, MACR 3700.
I don’t have the German report ME 1061, but in the MACR monthly list April 1944 is an information about the loss place and the German Abschußnummer/casualty no.:
6 April 1944 1520 hrs Lightning Unter St. Kunigund (today Zgornja Kungota), 15 km north of Marburg/Maribor, ME 1061.

Regards
Leo
