Flak Batterie 34/VII (Nov.-Dec. 44)

Hi All,
doing some research abut the German airfield Donaueschingen Süd and found little info about the Flak Batterie 347VII which was obviosly based for a few month at the field. Source of this info is the webppage The Luftwaffe 1933-1945. But not much info available so far.
Is there any additional info about the Flak units which were based in Donaueschngen Süd?
Probably I will visit the Military Archive in Freiburg (BA-MA) and therefore does anybody knows in which file I could find additional info?
THanks a lot in advance
Rolf

Rolf -

Flakbatterien with Luftgau numbering and Arabic numbers below 100 were Heimat Flakbatterien. This is all I have on this one:

leichte Heimat-Flak-Battr. 34/VII
Mar-Apr 44: protection of the gas utility in Salzburg.
1944: Salzburg then Donaueschingen/Süd airfield.

I would be surprised if you found anything of substance at BA-MA. Information on these small battery-sized units rarely survived the war. You might want to check with the DRK München as they developed files on these small units after the war as part of their effort to investigate Wehrmacht MIAs and KIAs.

P.S. You might be able to find mention of the battery in:

Nicolaisen, Hans-Dietrich. Gruppenfeuer und Salventakt: Schüler und Lehrlinge bei der Flak 1943-1945. 2 volumes (Bände I und II). Büsum: Selbstverlag (privately published) Dr. Hans-Dietrich Nicolaisen, 1993. Pb. 1,792p. Illus. End of chapter source notes.
