I/KG3, 30.10.40

Luftwaffe Loss Records state:
30.10.1940. I/KG3, Uffz. Robert Wirth killed. (No aircraft details)
The VDK show hm as buried in Lommel, Belgium, block 49, grave 162.

The only loss for I/KG3 I can find for 30.10.1940 is:
2/KG3.
Dornier Do17Z (2617). Abandoned by crew when fuel exhausted after operational sortie over the Channel. Crashed at Herentals, Belgium. Crew baled out unhurt. Aircraft a write-off.

Did Uffz. Wirth belong to that crew?

No he did not. He was a mechanic in 1.FBK3 who walked into a revolving propeller at Le Culot.
