Highball Mosquitos

Hi,

Does anyone have details of the Highball Mosquitos? I am thinking of converting a FBVI into a Highball machine and need some details on the actual attachment points for the highball. I assume the rest was a standard FBVI.

Thanks,

Alex

I'm not sure of the attachment, but believe them to be a V-structure each side of the bomb, with a roller to spin it up. I don't know whether the roller is before or aft of the bomb. Do you have a Dambuster Lanc to use as a possible guide?

However, I understand that the Highball machines were Mk.IVs with 4-blade props, not Mk.VIs.

Re: Highball Mosquitos

Hi Graham,

Thanks for the details. During my initial search on the 'net I found conflicting details. The prototypes were B MkIV's and production models were FBVI's. I have since found just over 30 serials in the DZ range which indicates B MkIV's.

Jerry,

Mail arrived okay, many thanks.
