And A Match?
This for my eyes is a very rare possible match:
14.01.1945, 21.43 hrs., Junkers Ju G-6, call-sign 2Z+EP, 6./II./NJG 6, W.-Nr. 621432, shot down close to Bad Orb. KIA: Fw. Alfred Mrusek (Pilot) and Uffz. Gerhard Brandt (Radar-Op). Bailed unharmed: Ofw. Gerhard Ramelow (Gunner) and Uffz. Ernst Blahse (WO). Seems that a Mossie of British No. 85 Squadron managed this claim. In RAF Combat Report the German nightfighter obviously was mistaken as Ju 188. Claiming crew was F/Lt. Vaughan, F/S McKinnon. Source: The National Archives, Ref. SW/85/47 and as wellknown WASt., Berlin. Thanks for listening and any comment to achieve Norbert |

Re: And A Match?
Sis,
i know that this entry comes from lostaircraft.com, i am a member as well there and have had added some details to LA 124 weeks ago. For not getting confused about the German NF pilot and the entries, he survived two crashes: 10.5.1944, Messerschmitt 110 G-4, W-Nr. 740029, 6./II./NJG 6, crash landing at A/F Echterdingen due to technical problems. Uffz. Alfred Mrusek (P) WIFA, Uffz. Ernst Blahse (WO) WIFA, (?) Hörrner (civilian) WIFA. 2./3.6.1944, Messerschmitt 110 G-4, W-Nr. 720039, NJG 6, shot down whilst on NF-mission. Uffz. Alfred Mrusek (P) unhurt, Uffz. Heinz Schulz (WO) MIA, unnamed gunner MIA. Best Regards Norbert Last edited by Nordpol54; 1st December 2011 at 10:34. |
