Bf 110 G-4 W.Nr. 730372

Hello,

does anybody have any information about Bf 110 G-4 W.Nr. 730372. I have two photos of this aircraft. The fuselage, wings and tailplane were disassembled and it may well be that it had an accident. Unfortunately, I don't know the location, but it was found after the war.

Cheers,

Roger

Roger,

Werknummer 730 372 „G9+WX“ was found in Lütjenholm.

Heuser

Re: Bf 110 G-4 W.Nr. 730372

Hello Heuser,

Thank you for the information. I think I have misinterpreted the first 3 digits of the W.Nr.. In fact, only the last 3 are visible on the photos, but I wrongly assumed it was from the 730xxx block. I can see that it has a NJG 6 Geschwader code 2Z and therefore must have been a different aircraft than G9+WX.

It has the yellow tail band that I think - after comparing with other aircraft with this feature and known W.Nr. - can be associated with the Luther Werke, Braunschweig, production. The actual W.Nr. may have therefore been 160372 or 180372, but there were also other W.Nr. blocks that may apply.

Regards,

Roger
