Anybody have any info about the Luftwaffe dropping "darts" in Early 1940?

Re: darts?
When a bomb falls nose down, it may look like a dart from a distance. Just a thought.

Re: darts?
It may also describe a cluster bomb attack.

Re: darts?
Long and thin and fell nose-first when dropped.................that's the 1 Kg incendiary sub-munition dropped by the Luftwaffe. Once free of their cluster container, they looked like a stream of darts falling on the target.

Re: darts?
First World War they did drop such things but not en masse and I cannot think of a more ineffective anti-shipping weapon!
