Loss of Leutnant Karl Steinhauser over France 14.01.44

Hi,

Could anyone provide details over the loss of Leutnant Karl Steinhauser who was killed in an air battle over the coast/or France on the 14th January 1944.
Steinhauser was a fighter pilot and is buried at Champigny-St. Andre.
Could anyone tell me which unit he was with, what he was flying and how he was killed?

With many thanks

Rick

Hello Rick,

More precisaly, the crash site is situated in the woods in "La Vacherie", closed to Evreux. Please contact me out of board, I could send to you a picture about the Steinhauser's grave.

Regards

Loic
