Franz von Werra, colour image

Hi all,

a few years ago there was a documentary about "the one who got away" on german TV. The TV program magazin "TV total" had published a story about Franz v Werra, where I have found this beautiful photo of him in a F-2. I post this image especially for Franck and Miguel as a 'thank you' for their previous efforts. Unfortunately the editor of the magazine had cut apart the photo. I have tried with publisher to re-assembly the photo with bad result. The headline on the photo reads: speculation about a romantic idealist. Is here anyone around who has saved this image in a better shape?

TIA
hihotte

Hello Hihotte,

Thank you very much! Sounds like a christmas or birthday gift.

Cheers, Franck.

That is a great photo of him. He was a good 'kumpel' of my uncle in the summer of 1940 on the channel.

Re: Franz von Werra, colour image

Whoooow, Peter, how the hell did manage to get this result. It let me look like a beginner on photoshop. One thing...the photo of v Werra which I had posted has been cropped. The original scan is of much better quality. Do you mind if I send you the parts via e-mail and you repeat your magic on them again and return the result back to me by e-mail? You can't post it here due to automatic cropping.
Cheers and thank you

Re: Franz von Werra, colour image

Dears,
After his prisioner scape from the US, Von Werra was led back to Germany via Brazil... any info on his Italian LATI connection would be well accepted.
Cheers.
