Re: Luftwaffe fighter crashing into a church in Arnhem in September 1944

IV./JG 54 was on their flight back to their base and flew over Arnhem. The church tower was covered in smoke from the fires in town and Lt. Ransmayer hit the church tower. This was witnessed and reported by his wing man Ofw. Thimm. I believe you should be able to find a picture on the web somewhere.
