Well I noticed that 229 Sq was operating the Mk IIc so that's what I wrote... No doubt they operated a mix of Mk II Hurricanes. I wonder what happened to all those serial numbers that the Germans were so fond of cutting out from various fabric covered parts? In this case the fabric damage was probably made during the forced landing, but in many other cases one can clearly see it has been cut out. Cheers Stig |

My betting money is on a IIb as you can just make out the outer gun barrel of the 12 gun arrangement.
