Gr Adj II./JG 54 Battle of Britain

Can anyone tell me who was the Gr Adj at the end of the Battle of Britain? It would appear that Oblt Bernhard Schulten and Oblt Karl-Heinz Schultz occupied this position by Barbarossa

Re: Gr Adj II./JG 54 Battle of Britain

Dear Chris,

While searching at the book "A photographif History of the Grunherzjäeger" by XXX, I found on pg.75 a Picture of II Gruppe at Delmenhorst, by mid December 1940, where an "old" Officer not wearing the Pilot's Badge is depicted. His name is Marianka.

DE ZENG (and STANKEY) on his mervellous site and work do have the following information about this Officer:
MARJANKA, Karl Leo. (DOB: 29.06.17 in Wien). 10.42 Lt., Nav.u.Funk Offz. II./JG 54. 11.44 Adj. of JG 54? 1945 Lt., Adj. and Kp.Chef Stab/JG 52.

Guess though that this is not your guy....Navigation Officer rather....

Adriano B.

The informed reference is well known and was written by Bob, Trautloft and W. Held...sorry that I forgot to complement the thread above.

Re: Gr Adj II./JG 54 Battle of Britain

Hi

Joachim Schypek wrote me long time ago that Oblt. Karl-Heinz Schultz was the Adjutant after Oblt. Stegmann.

Greetings Christian

Thanks Christian. That was one question I did not ask Schypek many years ago!
