Bloch MB-152
Hi,
Does anyone of French aircraft experts confirm me if the Bloch MB-152, N° 399 in attached picture is a version with later engine Gnome-Rhone 14 N-49 ? It looks that according to details of the engine cowlings. Any comments much appreciated. Regards, Michal |

Re: Bloch MB-152
Hi Michal,
It must indeed be the Gnôme-Rhône GR14N-49. The first batch of 200 MB152's used initially the GR14N-25 of 920hp, later upgraded to the GR14N-39. They had, apart from some pre-seires aircraft, serial number 111 to 300 The second series of 288, so including the No 399 of the picture, used the GR14N-49 of 1080hp. Kind regards, Pieter |
