Fw. Karl Nowak, 9./JG 2
He was shot down in the sea by Spitfires and posted missing on June 10, 1942 while flying FW 190 A-2 W.Nr 0120 282 ‘Yellow 2 . I am trying to identify RAF unit responsible for his demise. From what I know he might have been killed by Spitfires of 41 Sq. in the morning (around 8 a.m) or in the combat with the Exeter wing covering Circus 9 in the afternoon (around 2 p.m.). Does anybody know the time of Nowak´s crash?
Thanks in advance Jan |

Re: Fw. Karl Nowak, 9./JG 2
Although I do not have info to hand, NVM for 'Buck' Nowak (I have a number of photos of him) gives the time and I believe it was 41 Sqn who got him off the Isle of Wight

Re: Fw. Karl Nowak, 9./JG 2
According to Prien he was shot down at 0805 hours in Pl.Qu.1173. Does this tally with what you have?
