Arado 96B - Tours - codes K-ELS and K-ELN

Dear all,

Am trying to obtain more details and information about two particular Arado 96 B (possibly B-3 series) that flew from Tours (France) in July 1943.

It seems their codes were

K-ELS

K-ELN (or K-ELH)

Is there any site one can find the werknummers of such training machines and their codes? I have tried but got no joy, so far...

Would like to determine the werknummers and fates of those two machines

Adriano

Hello,

KE+LS, Ar 96 B-1 Wnr.4794 from Avia production, first flight on 20/04/43.

With I/SKG 10 at Tours, for repairs in 02/44.

KE+LH, Ar 96 B-1 Wnr. 4783 from Avia production.

I have it with LKS 2 in 07-09/44, LKS 2 in 06-09/44, LKS 10 in 11-12/44.

Regards.

Eric

Hello again,

I have nothing about KE+LN Wnr. 4789, except a 20% loss with I/JG 101 on 03/08/44, and I found it with III/KG 51 in 08/44.

I m afraid I found nothing for 1943.

Regards.

Eric

Elements of 2./JG 2 operated from Tours from 22.07.43 until 7.08.43. According to his logbook Ofw. Josef Bigge flew KE+LM on 25.07.43 and KE+LS on 27.07.43 from Tours. Both aircraft belonged to the Ergänzungsstaffel/SKG 10, which was based at Tours from June to October 1943.

Gerhard Stemmer and Eric Guillaume,

THANK YOU so much for the additional information I was indeed looking for, to enhance Wing Commander's Gomm biography.

Since it was Obfw. Josef Bigge that claimed Gomm's ED998, I was indeed trying to clarify those flights made by Bigge (there are others too) on both machines.

Gerhard and Eric, my most grateful THANK YOU for that match!

Eric,

Would you have any DATA about KE+LM...guess my poor eyesight made me read it wrongly was KE+LN...

IT would be most welcomed onto this huge biography I am finishing and now polishing...

Adriano,

I m afraid I have no other data about KE+LM, Wnr. 4788...It had its first flight on 15/04/43, and SKG 10 was probably its first unit.

Regards.

Eric
