Emergency landing on the beach A1+EK (18.1.1944)
Hi all,
On the 18th of January the A1+EK of Hptm. Martin Vollmer (2./KG53) made a emergency landing on the beach. Is this landing documented and can someone provide more information on it. I’m looking for location, cause, crew names. Their He111 left Kauen, Kowno, Kaunas (Lithuania) around 10:10 for a long distance flight during bad weather. Their destination was Lechstedt (Germany).
