9th USAAF friendly fire in North Africa

Does anyone know of any friendly fire incidents (air or ground) involving the US Ninth Air Force in North Africa, time span 1942-43?

Thanks,
Bruce

There were some. You will have to go through A History of the Mediterranean Air War, volume 2, and possibly the forthcoming volume 3, to find them. I still have to get after the Ninth AF units for MAW3 to cover the period April 1 to May 13.

Enjoy!

Frank.

Thank you, Frank. I am especially interested in air-to-ground examples, in case anyone is aware of any.
Thanks,
Bruce

The booklet "Amicide", that should be available online, had some examples of it.

Laurent,
Thanks for the 'Amicide' tip, it contains some good examples. I have already spent some time trawling the Friendly Fire thread but it is massive, I will keep plugging away at it.
