Hello,

Is anybody there able to ID possibly German aircraft parts (unearthed) or recommand some websites.

I would say the place to go would be the fine folks at the aerodrome.

If anyone can help, folks there can. That is the place for WWI aircraft.

Here is the first:

a bulged cover (30 cm / 20 cm) made of light alu, slight trace of black paint on outer side. 2 kind of gills.

If it is aluminum....I would be suspect of it coming from WWI. Not that aluminum wasnt used..I think it's use was limited.

this fairing and other parts were found buried along foundations of WW1 building on a former airdrome.

Well, here others pieces, hoping it will rise some remarks...

1°) another bulged fairing (with hinge) with two kind of gills
2°) plate with a red painted number, at the reverse "1U" stamped

Hello,

Here is the long-time promised part: a bulged cover (for pulley?), typical of WWI aircraft.

The former aerodrome, where it was found, was used during Summer 1918 by Germans and shortly by RAF after 1918 Armistice.

Unfortunately this piece did'nt attract much attention at The Aerodrome forum. Hope my beloved forum will be interested!
