Re: Photos 8-23-05
Ed West,
Thank you for posting the outstanding close-up photographs of the He 177A-5 with the wild squiggle camouflage. More of this series of photos were published in Manfred Griehl and Joachim Dressel's book "Heinkel He 177, 277, 274" pages 152 and 153. Bruce |

You're welcome. I really enjoy finding unusual or interesting camouflage patterns.

Re: Photos 8-23-05
Hi Ed,
I want to join the chorus of those commending you for this "daily service". The photo album looks fake to me. It cannot possibly be from the collection of any one man, too many different types of aircraft, from too many nations and many of the photos have appeared in various books and other publications. bregds SES |

Re: Photos 8-23-05
Holá Ed,
I would also like to thank you for your continues daily efforts tu supply us with the most outstanding photos. Please keep it on. @SES, Yes, the photoalbum is a joke. The cynism with the album is that the seller is expressing the fact that the photos have been taken out of newspapers and magazins. Even the sellers name "Landser" points to a brochure published in Germany called "Der Landser" filled with adventures and heroic stories together with a set of photoprints and nobody who is interested in WW II history considers this booklets as serious. Look at the price bidders are willing to pay for it. Stupid... Probably it is a fact of the time we live in at present. All 71 photos offered in the album you can find in the web within 15 minutes. hihotte

Re: Photos 8-23-05
A great collection of photos again.
This anti-tank version of the Ju 88: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=6203353416 is also very interesting. Wow! Does it have a machine gun in the cannon gondola? And where did the crew enter the aircraft? And this description of a Do 217 M: "Foto Amerikanisches Flugzeug mit Deutscher Kennung,2.WK" is a glaring example of complete ignorance. It's kinda sad, isn't it? |
